#46: Dan Krikorian

Creativity in Basketball and Music

Dan Krikorian played basketball for Chapman University and is now the Assiote Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Chapman. He’s also the co-creator of Slappin Glass, a popular basketball platform and podcast about coaching and basketball strategy. They’ve had some amazing guest on their show, like Bill Parcells, Brad Stevens, and Jeff and Stan Van Gundy.

Dan is also a musician who tours in the US and Europe and has released 6 albums to date. Dan also teaches courses at Chapman on sports, society and leadership.

I speak with Dan about how he manages so many different things without getting overwhelmed, mental health in sports, his newest album and his writing process in music, similarities between creativity in basketball and music, pursuing projects without the guarantee of success, and more.
